Heartland Plant Innovations’ Specialty Crop Breeding Services
Quality
Quality continues to be an integral component of the many targets breeders face when developing new and improved varieties. Heartland Plant Innovations (HPI) is expanding our capabilities to include quality testing as a service within our APBS or as a stand-alone service or project. Our goal is to offer turnkey variety development services from rapid trait identification, parent crossing, and double haploid production through end-use quality.
Our focus includes:
- Rapidly identifying markers for end product quality.
- Working confidentially with companies to identify molecular markers for quality using the companies’ own proprietary quality tests.
- Evaluating quality parameters and returning timely information for critical breeding decisions.
